Comments :    I live in Nassau County, but I still make the trip to Rocky Shores because there is not a vet hospital like it on Long Island. The staff and doctors are caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The place is clean and doesn't smell like an animal hospital at all! Best of all, they are AAHA accredited. I didn't know what that meant before--but the staff explained to me that the facility and services are held to a higher standard than non-accredited hospitals. In a nutshell, this place rocks! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Comments :    Love this place! Wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets. The doctor is very compassionate and explains things in terms we understand. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the hospital is immaculate! It doesn't smell like an "animal hospital"--very clean, impressive! It truly feels like a home, not a "facility," they even have a basket of activities (and goodies!) to keep the kids occuppied. My whole family highly recommends Rocky Shores Veterinary Hospital!

Comments :    Words can't describe this place! I will never go anywhere else. You truly are treated as a respected member of the family when you come to Rocky Shores. And now they have "Puppy Kindergarten" classes too! The doctors and staff are amazing, very professional, warm and welcoming, compassionate. This place is definitely different--come discover it yourself!!

Comments :    Just a quick note to say that we are both very happy with Dr. Rob - he is a caring, compassionate and professional veterinarian. We are pleased that he takes the time to explain fully any questions we may have about our pet's care. He also doesn't try to talk you into any unnecessary procedures unlike other "pet factories". I highly recommend Rocky Shores to anyone looking to bring their pets. (ps - Spooky loves him too!)

Comments :    After having been through several vets over the past 20 years, I can honestly say that Drs. Rob and Cindy are the best. I trust them and definitely feel that they have the best interests of both the pet and owner in mind. I would surely recommend them (and I have been doing that alot lately!) and hope that they stay in Rocky Point for a long, long time! In addition, their entire staff is professional and caring and a real pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

Comments :    I have been following Rob and Cindy since their days at Aldrich Animal Hospital I would say it has been around 5 years maybe more. Rob and Cindy are wonderful, caring and extremely professional doctors. They have given my animals the best care and love. I recently lost my cat, Bandit. Rob was wonderful Bandit's condition came on so suddenly and quickly that I had to bring her to an emergency center closer to my home because she wasn't going to make the trip but Rob was still on the phone with me minute by minute like he was right there. Rob and Cindy sent me a sympathy card and listed Bandit in a memorial in their monthly mail out it goes to show what wonderful, compassionate and always dedicated doctors they are they didn't just stop at the fact that I lost a loved one they continued to show their thoughts and sympathy. Every time that I visit Rocky Shores Veterinary Hospital it is a wonderful experience my animals are given the best care, I feel like my animals and I are always treated like family. Anytime I call I always get a call back from the doctor to answer any question that I might have regarding any of my animals. I now drive 45 minutes each way to visit Rob and Cindy and they are worth every minute!! I recommend them to everyone that I can.

Comments :    Several months ago I thought my older daschund "Buddy" had broken his leg. I brought him to my regular vet hoping that her staff would call her immediately and advise me as to what I should do for him. The staff did not perform as I had hoped, so I left and started to head home. I then remembered that a new Vets Office had opened near my home. I brought the dog in and he was seen immediately. I was EXTREMELY impressed by the care he received and have recommended this practice to several people. They are a credit to their profession and the staff is just wonderful. Thanks again!! Oh, and Buddy is doing well. Barking his head off as always at absolutely NOTHING! Fondly, Christina Cleary

Comments :    I moved to Long Island in early June of 2007, and the stress of the move caused my epileptic dog Tina to have multiple seizures that I could not get under control. I had not yet had a chance to find a local vet, so I called the local emergency/referral center for a recommendation. I am a very picky pet services consumer so I made sure they understood that price and location were not my primary criteria-- I wanted a very knowledgable, experienced vet who was willing to take a little extra time with my dogs. (If there is one thing I HATE it's taking my dogs to what I call a "veterinary factory", where the vets are rushed, the techs are crazed, and you wait for 45 minutes to see the vet for 5 minutes. And then you are charged $$$$). The woman I spoke to recommended Rocky Shores assured me that I would *love* the vets, so I called and got an appointment right away. I have to say that I have been extremely impressed with the care my dog has received at Rocky Shores. Dr. Rob is a good listener and a very knowledgable vet who is able to clearly articulate his diagnosis and treatment recommendations. (I grilled him on visit 1, and he passed!) He is energetic, kind, respectful, and determined to help your pet to the best of his ability. The hospital is *immaculate*, comfortable, easy to get to, and is well-equipped. They even serve Starbucks coffee! The prices are in line with quality veterinary care. I have not yet had the opportunity to meet Dr. Cindy, but I am looking forward to it! By all accounts, she's great.

Comments :    I have been using Rob and Cindy for the past 4 years. What impressed me most was how, on our visit visit with Charlie (a Siberian Husky) who been tortured by an animal grooming service, and who's "daddy" just died, Rob got down on the ground in the small exam room and played with Charlie for about 15 minutes before examining him and sharing the results of his exam with us. Following that we transferred the care of Charlie, Magic, and Star, to Rob & Cindy. They have failled to be available to see us when our furry friends needed care. At all times they were available to us by phone. Unfortunately Charlie developed a brain tumor. He was always treated with dignity and respect and Rob played with him on every visit. When it was time to put Charlie to sleep Cindy alllowed me to stay in the room with and comfort him and tell him how much he was loved while she injected the medications to ensure he was painfree and on his way to be with his "daddy" in heaven. Cindy held me while I grieved over the loss of Charlie and the loss of my dad. A week later Cindy called us to tell us she had made a plaster cast of Charlie's pawprint, put his name on it, and attached a piece of his hair that she cut off after he died. I can not begin to tell you how much that small gesture meant to my family. My cats adore Cindy and Rob and no longer fear going to the vet. I highly recommend Rocky Shores as the best place for both your furry friends and for you. I now drive 45 to 60 minutes each way just to ensure my cats get the care they deserve which they can only get at Rocky Shores.
